I know from experience that when a family comes home with their child it is so exciting to hear how things are going and see pictures! I swore I wouldn't be one of those people who dropped off of the face of the earth after we came home. I would share about each aspect of our days and adjustment. I just spent 3 days typing and retyping a blog that I just can't bring myself to post. I finally let go of the idea that keeping up on my blog is a necessity.
This is hard, very hard. I don't want to only share the good because it feels too fake, and I'm just not ready to share the bad right now. I need some time and space to work through the feelings and struggles in a safe place, and for me a public blog just isn't the place to do that. I'll pop on now and then. I won't disappear completely and hopefully soon I can get to a place where I can blog more frequently again. Until then thanks for understanding.

I was actually wondering about how frequently and faithfully you've been updating the blog. You - and your family - need time to process, to bond and to figure out how the new and improved Loraine family (new family size!) is going to work.
We continue to pray for you all, love you lots and are ready to cook for you whenever you're in the area!
Kate, Tim, Erin (18 today - eep!), Hayley, and Dana Smith
We will be praying for the Loraines!!! Blessings to you all!

Take all of the time that you need! I'll keep praying for your family!
No need to apologize - you guys need to focus on each other right now. Just know we're here and we're praying for you. I'll email you my phone number, too. Feel free to call anytime!

Praying for all of you Erin!!
Do we need a girls' weekend?
You and your family are what counts.
May God bless you as you work through this new beginning. As I told another friend who adopted, everything will look completely different in 6 months. Right now you may long for the old "normal" at times, but this is just a passageway to a new "normal", and it WILL come.
(It did, too!)
My prayers are with you and Oksana during this time of getting to know each other and your new lives together. Take care of yourselves!
Your family is your number 1 concern. You did a great job with the blog while you were in Ukraine. Now its your time. The blog is on the back burner....no big deal....love..uncle mark & aunt donna
We'll pray for peace for you. Hugs, Erin.
You deserve a break and I am thankful that God has provided all you and your family need to get to know each other!
God's richest blessings!

Praying for you guys!
Praying for you guys!
Adoption is a big adjustment for everyone. Take time to slowly accomodate and grow together.
It is never easy to change a big chapter in your life.
I still don't have my own pictures posted. Everything in its own time.
Erin - I am a fellow prospective Reece's Rainbow adoptive mother and would very much appreciate if I could ask you a question but have not located a "contact me"on your blog - pbjmom1@comcast.net - Kathryn
Dear Loraine Family,
Know that we all are praying for you and your family during this transition time. Your family needs to come first so never apologize for doing just what you should be doing. Every day is a new challenge, with God as your guide you will rise to the challenges and overcome! Your new family unit is very blessed to have not only God but two loving parents. Take care and God Bless!
