This morning Oksana was holding onto our hands and walking back and forth between us. We started letting go a little bit before she reached the next parent and before we knew it she was taking 1, then 3, then 5 steps between us! We got her braces and shoes on and she ended up taking 8-10 independent steps back and forth! We were shocked!

Thanks for the encouragement Erin. I do think Alina and Oksana's CP is similar. Alina has amazing balance and her hands are freakishly strong! LOL! She just needs some help on the lower half to get her to where she wants to be. Girl wants to RUN! You can see it in her eyes when she's watching the other kids play and run, she just stares at them with a longing look in her eyes.

Wow, Erin. Look at her walking. She is blossoming right before your eyes. And her mullet has transformed into cute little pig tails. How beautiful...I'm so glad you shared this. Who would've thought?

Hi! Not sure if I've posted before but I'm Ellen's friend through RR. I have followed your story. Our daughter has been home almost a year and half, she has CP very similar Nina. Oksana is doing great. I heard you tell your son to back up the camera. Haha, I wanted to see her legs. But man, she is doing great, she will be an independent walker for sure. And I love that she is motivated!
YAY OKSANA!!!!!!!!!!! as the mama of 3 kids (soon to be 4) with cerebral palsy i know how huge this is!
