Today we started our day at 3am when we couldn't sleep! Both of us were wide awake and then fell back to sleep around 5:30 and got a few more hours in before we forced ourselves to get up so that we could sleep tonight. We went to the toy store and got a few things for our visits with Oksana and had a delicious lunch at the Ukranian buffet.
Nadya met up with us later in the afternoon and took us on a walking tour of the city before heading back to the SDA to pick up our referral. We just walked in, showed our passports, signed our names, and they gave Nadya the magic piece of paper along with our entire dossier. Honestly, I could have gone my whole life without ever seeing that again and been fine!
Here's how tomorrow will work. We will be picked up at 1:00 and we will head to get the social worker then out to Vorzel. We will meet Oksana and indicate our desire to move forward with the adoption. After that we will bring the social worker back and start a long afternoon of paperwork to prepare for court. I can't wait to blog tomorrow!
To end our day we went back to good old TGI Fridays to meet up with Reece's Rainbow families again. This time there were 6 families! Everyone was in the early stages of their adoption journey.
I'm off to relax for the evening and prepare for the day we've been waiting for!
