But sampling is better!
Sometimes you need help to reach the high ones!

I learned that you can tell a lot about your child's personality by taking them apple picking. Clayton's bag had only a few apples. Each one was carefully inspected to be sure it was completely free of any blemish or bruise. Evan had a bag FULL of apples, 1/2 of which were battered and bruised! Exactly what I would expect from each of them!

Ohhh, apple picking...what fun! My favorites are red delicious or granny smiths. I've never been apple picking, but after reading your post and seeing your photos, I'm going to make that a priority this fall! :)
Oh, that first picture is priceless! That is exactly mycrew, right down to the cheesy smile on the Ukrainian! Lol!
How did I not know you guys were in St Louis? We should meet up sometime! We're in the City, close to the Botanical Garden. :)
